Planning to compete at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo? Here you can find important information about our Competitive Events, including rules, entry information, schedules, contests, livestock shows and other opportunities available to exhibitors and participants.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Competitive Events Department provides opportunities for youth and adults from across Texas to showcase their knowledge, skills and dedication through livestock shows, agricultural contests, mechanics competitions, shooting sports, culinary events, Western art, photography and more. Each year, Competitive Events welcomes more than 26,000 entries and at least 15,000 youth participants. Whether competing through 4-H, FFA, Career and Technical Education (CTE) or Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs, participants have opportunities to learn, compete and grow while developing skills and connections to agriculture. With more than $2 million in scholarships and awards available across our programs, Competitive Events provide meaningful opportunities for participants to turn their interests and hard work into achievement.



Premium List=Rule Book

The Competitive Events Premium List includes all rules and regulations, schedules, fees, scholarship information and premium payouts regarding Western Art, Photography, Junior Barbecue (Pitmaster & Vaquero Cook-off), Junior Ag Mechanics Contest, Open and Junior Livestock Shows & Contests, Junior Shoot-Out, Calf Scramble and the Junior Taxidermy Contest. For complete information regarding a contest or show, please refer to the Premium List. All times and locations are subject to change.

2027 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Online Entry System

The portal is open for Exhibitor Creation and Photography and Western Art entries. Photography and Western art entries will close on October 31, 2026. Any entry submitted between November 1-15, 2026 will be considered a late entry.

NOTE: Entries will not be possible until entry agreements are digitally submitted or uploaded for an exhibitor.

Entries for Livestock (Shows & Contests), Ag Mechanics, Junior Shoot-Out and Calf Scramble will open on November 1.

Entry Worksheets are available below under Important Forms. All PREMIUM PASSES must be requested by the Ag Teachers or County Agents on their portal from October 15-25, 2026.

Entries may be submitted through the CEA/AST/CTE/STEM Portal or through the Exhibitor/Parent portal for approval by AST/CEA/CTE-STEM Director. Entries must be submitted by November 20th, if submitted through the Exhibitor/Parent portal or by December 1st, if submitted through the CEA/AST/CTE/STEM Portal.

You will NOT need to mail anything but payment if you choose to pay by check instead of card. No paperwork needs to be mailed.

Entries are now open for the Jr. Vaquero Cook Off, Young Vaquero Guacamole Round-Up, Jr. Pitmaster, & Jr. Buckaroo-Que.
Please submit ONE Form per team/participant.
