Parade on February 6, 2027

The Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive Committee produces the annual parade to kick- off the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. The parade features a cattle drive, mounted infantry groups, authentic wagons, and heritage organizations that come together to participate in a display of the western heritage and local culture of San Antonio and Texas. The people of San Antonio can also enjoy the Stampede 5K Run through the streets of beautiful downtown and the Vaquero Cook-Off at the Historic Market Square.

5:00 pm-10:00 pm at Market Square: Western Heritage Weekend Kick-off with vendors, music, food and retail vendors, and various activities.

Saturday, February 6, 2027

9:00 am at Milam Park: Stampede 5K – start/finish at Houston St.
10:55 am on Houston St.: Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive - Milam Park to Broadway
12:00 pm-11:00 pm at Market Square: Vaquero Cook-Off with music, food and retail vendors, and contests

Sunday, February 7, 2027

11:00 am-6:00 pm at Market Square: Family Day – food and retail vendors, live music, and various activities

The 5K run/walk kicks off the Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive. The Stampede takes place on the main streets of Historic Downtown San Antonio! Registration will open September 1st.

Head to downtown San Antonio and Market Square to enjoy some of the traditional staples of the vaqueros from the 1800s. Cook-off entries include Cooks Choice, Chili and Menudo. Contestant and vendor registration opens October 15th.
