The South Texas Collegiate Classic is a three-day collegiate rodeo event produced by the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Held March 5th – 7th, 2026, at 7pm, the event will feature over 400 student-athletes from the Lone Star Region, representing seven colleges.

The schedule includes daytime slack rounds and ticketed evening performances on Friday and Saturday. The event provides a platform for collegiate athletes to compete at a high level while offering an accessible, community-focused rodeo experience in San Antonio.

Rodeo Tickets:

Thursday, March 5: FREE TO THE PUBLIC!
Friday, March 6: $20.00 per person
Saturday, March 7: $20.00 per person

Children ages 12 & under are FREE!

Parking:

Public parking is available for $10.00 per vehicle
Please enter through the West Gate/Gate A entrance off of E. Houston St. (See map below).

Schedule:

Doors open nightly at 6:00 PM
Rodeo performance start time: 7:00 PM
Rodeo performance end time: approximately 9:00 PM

Contestant Information

Horse Check-In and Stalling

Health Papers:

All horses must have proof of negative Coggins (one-year) and a 30-day health certificate upon arrival.

Horse Check-In Station Hours:

Thursday, March 5: 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Friday, March 6: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday, March 7: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday, March 8: All horses must be out no later than 9:00 AM

Cost:

$30 per stall; no advanced purchase or reservations necessary

Shavings:

You may bring your own shavings. Additional shavings are available for purchase at the feed store on grounds for $9.00 per bag.

Parking/Directions to West Gate for Horse Check-In

Physical Address: 3201 E. Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78219

From Houston: IH 10W. Take Houston Street Exit. Turn right on the first street (Commerce Street). At the light, turn right on Houston Street. At the next light, continue straight and turn right at the West gate entrance before the railroad tracks.

From Kerrville: IH 10E to IH 35N. Take IH 35N to Walters Street/Frost Bank Center Drive Exit. Cross Walters Street and go to Frost Bank Center Drive. Turn Right on Frost Bank Center Drive. Continue straight down Frost Bank Center Dr. and turn right onto Houston Street. Turn right into the West gate entrance before the railroad tracks.

From Corpus Christi: IH 37N to IH 10E. Take IH 10E to the Houston Street Exit. Turn left on Houston Street and cross under IH 10. Continue across Commerce Street to Houston St. Continue down Houston Street and turn right into the West Gate entrance before the railroad tracks.

From Blanco: 281 S to IH 35N. Take IH 35N to Walters Street/Frost Bank Center Drive. Cross Walters Street and go to Frost Bank Center Drive. Turn right on Frost Bank Center Drive. Continue straight down Frost Bank Center Dr. and turn right onto Houston Street. Turn right into the West gate entrance before the railroad tracks.
