Thousands of exhibitors from throughout the State of Texas exhibit their 4-H and FFA projects during the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. They have spent many hours caring for these animals, preparing them for judging and the opportunity to sell them in one of the most prestigious Junior Livestock Auctions in the nation. Less than ten percent of animals exhibited in the Junior Market Livestock Show qualify for the Junior Livestock Auctions. Support the youth of Texas at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Junior Livestock Auction in their agricultural and educational endeavors.
How It Works...
The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Auction Committee works with community leaders, local businesses and supporters of the Stock Show and Rodeo to raise money for contribution to the youth exhibitors of prize winning animals.
After months of caring for their animals, Texas 4-H and FFA youth exhibitors bring their animals to the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo in February to be exhibited and judged.
Livestock Projects teach our youth important lessons in responsibility, problem-solving, decision making, leadership, communication, hard work and dedication.
Exhibitors whose animals are judged as the top in their classes are eligible to sell their projects through a live auction. Money bid on the animal project is paid to the exhibitor so that he/she may continue their show experiences and educational endeavors.
