General Information and Application for Youth Connection Student Volunteers


What is Youth Connection?
Youth Connection is a program developed to offer High School Students the opportunity to volunteer at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo under the direct supervision of the Horse Show Committee Mentor Team.

What will I do at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo?
As a student volunteer your experience with Youth Connection will teach you about the organization and commitment involved in putting on the events in the Horse Show area, such as Barrel Racing, Cutting, checking in PRCA Rodeo Contestants among other events.  We invite you to come out and join the fun!

Who can volunteer with Youth Connection?
Are you in high school?  
Yes.  Then you are eligible to apply.
No. Youth Connection currently accepts students at the high school level.  If you are not yet in high school please come back to this site later and join the fun. Does volunteer time with Youth Connection count towards volunteer hours towards school organization requirements?
Youth Connection hours have been used by many students to fulfill organization requirements. You are encouraged to talk with your school program sponsor to verify your requirements.  If your sponsor has any questions they may contact the Youth Connection Coordinator. 

How do I apply?
It is easy to apply. Download the application by clicking the link below. Then mail your completed application and waiver to the address listed on the application.
