- Attendance for the 2009 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo was 1,313,785, a 1% increase over 2008; including 7 record breaking days!
- The Western Art Auction had sales of $237,000 which will be distributed in the form of scholarships awarded to 25 student artists
- Over $1,744,000 in scholarships were committed to Livestock and Horseshow exhibitors
- Sponsorships increased 10% over 2008
- Wade Shows, the carnival provider maintained revenues comparable to their record-breaking year in 2008. They also had 4 record breaking days
2009 Rodeo
- For the fourth consecutive year, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo was voted the PRCA Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year
- The rodeo was also inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, CO
- The rodeo had great attendance in the AT&T Center: included fourteen sell-out performances
- The San Antonio Rodeo once again proved to be on the leading edge of the sport by being the first rodeo to award $8,000 fuel cards to the rodeo event champions
- San Antonio continues to bring only the best animal athletes (from North America's top 22 stock contractors) and the top professional rodeo contestants to create an experience rivaled only by the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo
- Total purse for the PRCA Rodeo totaled $1-million, making the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo one of the top 3 richest rodeos in the nation
- For the fourth time, this year's rodeo featured two Xtreme Bull performances, both of which were televised on ESPN and ESPN2

- Draught Beer - 833 Kegs = 12,904 gallons = 1,651,804 ounces
- Bottled & Canned Beer - 5,786 cases = 138,863 (16oz) bottles = 2,221,800 ounces
- Total Beer - 3,873,604 ounces = 30,263 gallons = 242,101 (16oz) bottles
- Fountain Soda - 1,979,848 ounces = 15,468 gallons
- Bottled Soda - 1,010,680 ounces = 7,896 gallons
- Total Soda - 2,990,528 ounces = 23,364 gallons = 149,526 (20 oz) bottles
- Bottled Water - 732,580 ounces = 5,724 gallons

2009 Livestock Show Fun Facts
- The Agricultural Mechanics Project Show scholarships increased from $84,000 to $180,000
- Public Speaking awarded 3-$10,000 scholarships in comparison to one in 2008
- Pounds of Market Animals Shown:
• Barrows - 908,065 lbs
• Lambs - 165,396 lbs
• Goats - 113,697 lbs
• Steers - 1,929,776 lbs
• Total Weight - 3,116,934 lbs - There were 16,912 Four Legged Animals (67,498 legs/feet) that entered the Livestock Barns
- There were 84 exhibitors who competed in the Agricultural Science Fair. Maybe one will be the next Einstein.
- On Valentine's Day 2,169 barrows moved into the show within 14 hours
- 204 scholarships were awarded in the Livestock Department during the 2009 Stock Show & Rodeo to make a grand total of $1,561,000 that the Livestock Department presented to the youth of Texas
- The Junior Livestock Auction sales totaled $3,225,000
- Over 30,000 entries in the Livestock and Horse Shows - combined
2009 Horse Show Fun Facts
- Barrel Racing hit an all-time high with 1040 entries; an increase of about 20%
- The Team Penning competition had a record number of teams with 760 teams entered
- Over 1,000 bales of grass hay and alfalfa were fed to horses at the show. That equals about 60,000 pounds!
- If the stalls used during the horse shows were laid in a straight row starting at the AT&T Center, they would stretch halfway to the Alamo.
- The shavings used during the horse show would fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool- and overflow it by 10 feet!
- Over 3,500 feet of ribbons were awarded during the horse show.
- Over 200 hours of horse show events occurred during the 2009 stock show.
- Twenty-four states in the USA were represented by Horse Show participants.Nearly 2,000 horses competed at the Horse Show events
