The 2008 South Texas Ranch Rodeo Finals were held on Sunday, February 17th at 1:00pm in Horse Barn 2. 

Congratulations to M&M Cattle Co. on their victorious performance at the First Annual South Texas Ranch Rodeo Finals!

Marty Rosenquest, Cody Cerny, Cole Applegate, James Fitsgerald & Cody Rosenquest put out a championship effort to earn 23 points and the first San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo South Texas Ranch Rodeo Finals Champion buckles.

Solomon Land & Cattle Co. rode into a close second place with 21 points.

"Top Hand". The "Top Hand" award, given to the cowboy with the best overall individual performance, was earned by Chano Rios of the Chaparral Feeders team.

Off to a good start! The First Annual South Texas Ranch Rodeo Finals drew a capacity crowd to Horse Barn 2 on the last Sunday of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Announcer Hadley Barrett commented, "This barn hasn't had so much excitement in 20 years".  All 5 teams had outstanding performances keeping the entire crowd on the edge of their seats for the 2-hour performance. Looking forward to the 2009 South Texas Ranch Rodeo Finals.
