San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Charitable Status

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting Texas youth and education. Because of the dedication and efforts of over 5,000 volunteers, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is able to provide financial support to Bexar County and Texas youth seeking higher education as well as positively influence the agriculture industry in Texas. To date, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo educational commitment exceeds $96 million with a record $8.1 million committed in 2009 in the form of scholarships, grants, endowments, auctions, a calf scramble program and show premiums paid to youth.  

S.A.L.E. Scholarship Eligibility

The San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. (S.A.L.E.) is strictly a donor and does not participate in the selection of scholarship applicants.  Students who wish to apply for S.A.L.E. funded scholarships through organizations such as 4-H, FFA and major colleges and universities throughout the state of Texas must meet certain criteria which may include the following: be a Texas resident; graduate from a Texas High School; attend an accredited Texas college or university; and major in agriculture, life sciences or a closely related field as determined by S.A.L.E.

Volunteer Program

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is comprised of a family of people, volunteers, who are committed to the well-being and betterment of their community. Over 5,000 hard-working and loyal volunteers, working on 37 committees, are the heart and soul of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. The volunteers make up the foundation by which over 60 years of success has been built. They dedicate their time, efforts and resources to planning and conducting the Stock Show & Rodeo each February and the annual events that are held in support of the main event. Contributing countless hours each year, the volunteers are the driving force that supports the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo's scholarship fund and its goals.

Rodeo Ticket Includes

When you purchase a rodeo ticket you receive admission to the grounds, the rodeo and the concert. For a complete list of rodeo performance times and dates, go to Entertainment Lineup under Rodeo & Entertainment.

Concert Details

Each performance begins with a rodeo which lasts just under 2 hours. After the rodeo, there will be a brief intermission (approx. 20 minutes) followed by the concert. Concert performances last between 1 -1 ½ hours.

Rodeo Tickets for Children

Children ages 2 and older must purchase a rodeo ticket. Children under age 2 are admitted FREE onto the grounds and into the AT&T Center for rodeo performances (must be seated in a parent's lap - not a separate seat).

Calf Scramble

Contact your local 4-H or FFA supervisor for details on entering the Calf Scramble.

Mutton Bustin'

Mutton Bustin' is a fun competition where youngsters attempt to ride a sheep for six seconds. Mutton Bustin' takes place during weekend rodeo performances only (excluding the finals). Participation is limited to boys and girls who are between the ages of 4 -7 yrs old and weigh less than 55lbs. Entries will be accepted online from September 15th-October 15th.

Grounds Hours and Admission Prices

OPEN EVERYDAY (8am until between 10pm & midnight) $7.00 Adult - $5.00 Senior Citizen (ages 60 & over) - $3.00 Children (2 to 11 yrs of age) - $2.00 Children (under 2 yrs of age) - FREE.  Your rodeo ticket admits you onto the grounds for that day.  Click here for more details. 

Bull Riding Performances

All seven Rodeo events (bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing and bull riding) will occur at each rodeo performance. Bull riding is the last event before intermission leading to the concert.

Excitement and thrill has filled the AT&T Center the last two years as the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has hosted PRCA Xtreme Bulls, the most intense bull riding competition in the world. Xtreme Bulls features 30 top professional bull riders on the toughest stock in the PRCA. Professional Rodeo and Competitors

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is sanctioned by the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association). All contestant registration is handled through the PRCA and WPRA (Women's Professional Rodeo Association).

Parking Prices and Lot Locations

Parking is $10.  

A 15-acre paved, lighted and secured parking lot on Gembler Road, just north of the AT&T Center, is provided for patrons seeking a painless off-site parking alternative. From I-35, visitors can exit AT&T Center Parkway and make a left at the Gembler Road intersection. The parking lot is conveniently located to the right.

Shuttle from Gembler Road Lot.  The rodeo shuttle runs at posted times throughout the Show between the Gembler Road Lot and the AT&T Center. The rodeo shuttle is free and will drop-off and pick-up visitors at the Carnival Gate. The Carnival Gate is located at the entrance of the carnival on Houston Street in front of the AT&T Center. There will be several buses running to keep waiting to a minimum. A handicapped accessible bus will also be running for our patrons.   Click here for more parking details.

Commercial Exhibit Booths

If you are interested in being a commercial exhibitor at this year's Show, please contact the Commercial Exhibit Office at (210) 698-0811 for an application form and additional information.

Alcohol Beverage Policy

No alcohol (including nonalcoholic beer and wine) or illegal drugs may be brought into the Freeman Coliseum Grounds or AT&T Center. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased by persons aged 21 or older once inside the stock show & rodeo grounds. All alcohol sales can be terminated at any time at the discretion of show  officials, and all alcohol sales can and will require the buyer to provide legal identification.

Animals

Only certified service animals or service animals in training for guests with disabilities are welcome on the Freeman Coliseum Grounds and must remain on a leash or in a harness. All other animals are prohibited unless specified by management.

ATMs

Currently, there are four ATM locations within the AT&T Center. They are located on the Plaza Level by sections 110 and 125 and on the Balcony Level by sections 208 and 224.  Refer to the grounds map for additional locations throughout the grounds.

Automobile Assistance

The stock show, although not responsible for damage or theft, will provide security in its parking lots during events. Jump-start assistance is available upon request to any parking attendant or security personnel.

Banners/Signs

Hand-held banners and signs are allowed at the AT&T Center (this varies by event); however, they must be constructed of flame-retardant material and may not be displayed during play due to sight restrictions. Banners or signs may not be placed on the arena and show arenas, be commercial in nature or obscene, or cause any disturbance to other fans. Poles to display banners or flags are prohibited. Banners and signs may not exceed three feet in height, obstruct the view of other guests or AT&T Center advertising signage, or be temporarily or permanently affixed to the building structure. The show officials reserve the right to remove ANY banner or sign without exception or to change this policy at any time.

Cameras

All policies are event specific, so please call 210-225-5851 to verify prior to coming to the event. No professional camera/video equipment may be brought in for any AT&T Center event including "detachable" lenses, lenses that are longer than 3 inches or flashes. Any patron caught with prohibited equipment will have their film confiscated by an usher immediately and taken to the Rodeo Box Office. Items can be picked up at the end of the event. The AT&T Center is not liable for any damage, loss or theft to any items brought into the AT&T Center.

Children's Entry

Children 24 months and older must have a ticket in order to gain entrance to the AT&T Center. Children under 24 months of age may enter without a ticket but must sit on their parent's or guardian's lap. PLEASE NOTE: Some events will require all attendees regardless of age to present a ticket for entry into the AT&T Center. Please check the event's ticket policies at the time of purchase.

Concessions

There are a variety of permanent concession stands in the AT&T Center, with additional "portable" locations for selected events. Please note that all beverages in plastic bottles will be sold without the tops.

Containers

No outside food, beverages, coolers, bottles or cans may be brought into the AT&T Center. Items for children such as baby bottles, formula, etc., will be allowed.

Wheelchairs

If you need assistance on the grounds or in the AT&T Center please visit the wheel chair rental location on the grounds or at Guest Services. AT&T Courtesy wheelchairs will then be returned so that other patrons may receive assistance. Please contact your nearest usher when you would like to leave so that a wheelchair and Guest Services Representative may be located and dispatched.

Designated Driver Program

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo offers a designated driver (DD) program. As the designated driver, a patron will receive a wristband good for one (1) free soft drink. Please remember that DDs must be at least 21 years of age with a valid drivers license. Please check with Guest Services located by Section 101 for the location of the program as it varies per event.

Services for Patrons With Disabilities

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is committed to providing every customer with a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Special seating throughout the AT&T Center allows patrons with disabilities the same flexibility on location and price options as any other patron. Hospital-size elevators, assisted-listening devices, TDD phones, and wheelchair accessible pay phone banks with volume controls are available.  Please visit Guest Services for more information.

• Guests can drop-off and pick-up individuals by entering Gate A off Houston Street.
• Facility Features. ADA seating options exist in all general seating categories.
• All restrooms, drinking fountains, smoking areas, telephones, ATMs and concession stands at the AT&T Center are accessible.
• Patrons with disabilities and their companions are given first priority for service at all elevators.

Doors Open

For most events, doors open 2 hours prior to start time.

Drop-Off/Pick-Up, Taxis, Limousines

All vehicles, not staying for the event, can come and go through Gate B (off Houston Street). Once an event has ended and traffic begins to flow out of the parking lots, Gate B is the only accessible point of entrance onto property. When picking up after the event be sure and return before the end of the event. If the event has ended, street closures might affect the return to the arena.

Emergencies/Evacuations

In the event of an emergency, designated lighting and announcements will assist you in evacuating the premises.  Please always remain calm and follow the instructions from show officials.

Emergency Phone Calls

The emergency number for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo during events is 210-225-5851. The message will be relayed to the appropriate staff who then relays the message to the rodeo guest.

FANShop

The FANShop is located on the Plaza Level on the south side (facing Houston Street) of the building and features a variety of Spurs, Rampage, Silver Stars, San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo (only during the Rodeo in Feb.), and other merchandise. The number to the FANShop is 210-444-5555. Other merchandise can be found throughout the Freeman Coliseum Grounds.

First Aid

In the event of an emergency, please notify any AT&T Center representative or security personnel in your area in order to ensure that appropriate emergency personnel are notified and dispatched. Paramedics and EMT staff First Aid Centers are at the AT&T Center. See grounds map for First Aid. 

Guest Conduct

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo strives to provide all guests with a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable atmosphere.

• Guests wearing obscene or indecent clothing (determined in the sole discretion of management) will not be allowed on the property.
• Guests attempting to sale or scalp tickets are not allowed on the property.
• Guests using foul or abusive language or gestures (determined in the sole discretion of management) will be ejected from the property with no refund.
• Guests appearing intoxicated (determined in the sole discretion of management) will be denied entry or ejected from the property.
• Guests attempting to illegally enter the property, interfere or otherwise infringe on the event or other patrons will be ejected from the AT&T Center and possibly arrested.

Lost and Found

If you lost an item during an event, please contact the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo security located at Gate A for assistance. You may also turn in any found items at our Guest Services locations. Items will be held for 30 days with unclaimed items donated to charity. On non-event days, please call 210-225-5851.

Lost Parents/Found Children

Lost persons should contact the nearest security staff member for assistance. Lost patrons will be taken to security located at Gate A. Patrons looking for accompanied guests should go to this location as well.

Season Ticket Purchase Information

For Rodeo tickets call 210-225-5851.  Spurs, Rampage and Silver Stars season tickets are available by calling 210-444-5050. For Concert season tickets call 210-444-5093.

Security/Crowd Management

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo wants to ensure that patrons have a fun and safe experience.  The AT&T Center has a state-of-the-art, electronic security system which features closed-circuit cameras and monitors, electric door alarms, an access control system, and outdoor lighting. Small handbags/purses are allowed on the grounds but will be inspected at all entrance gates.  Large bags, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, and other items such as bottles, cans, food and other containers may be prohibited and if confiscated will be discarded.

Smoking Policy 

The AT&T Center and all buildings on the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo grounds are smoke-free facilities. Guests who fail to comply will be asked to move to a designated smoking area. Continued violations will result in ejection from the facility with no refunds.

Strollers

Strollers are permitted on the grounds and in many buildings.  However, they must be checked prior to entering the AT&T Center.  All strollers must be checked at Guest Services at Section 101 (see map).

Ticket Information

The Southwest Box Office is open during normal business hours 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.  Special operating hours will vary during the rodeo season.  You may purchase tickets by phone at 210-225-5851 or you can order online by going to www.ticketmaster.com. All Ticketmaster outlets will include convenience charges.
