Ranch Rodeo contestants are actual working cowboys from ranches in and around South Texas.

Rising in popularity, Ranch Rodeos are a throwback to the old west when neighboring ranches would get together to see whose cowboys were the best riders, the best ropers and generally the toughest hands.

The modern Ranch Rodeo puts teams of working cowboys against one another in events similar to the task, they face every day such as steer loading, branding, roping and tying. 

Qualifying teams participate in circuit rodeos all year in an effort to be in the top six point earners for the year. Those top six teams are invited to compete at the San Antonio Ranch Rodeo Finals in San Antonio, Texas held on the final Sunday of the Stock Show & Rodeo, in the Expo Hall.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Ranch Rodeo Finals is open to the public. General admission tickets are $15.00 (includes grounds admission). Seats will not be assigned.
