Bar-B-Que Cookoff
The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Bar-B-Que Cookoff is an annual event that occurs prior to the start of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Nearly 300 teams of the world's best Barbequers compete in this championship event. There is live music throughout the day, shopping and plenty of fine Texas Barbeque to sample. Entries to the different categories are judged Friday evening and throughout the day on Saturday. The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Bar-B-Que Cookoff is sanctioned by the Texas Gulf Coast Bar-B-Que Cookers Association. Winners are announced at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday evening.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Bar-B-Que Cook-off is brought to you through the efforts of the Bar-B-Que Committee of 180+ dedicated volunteers, the participating Cook Off teams, and their sponsors. Proceeds benefit the SALE Scholarship Fund. The San Antonio Livestock Exposition Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation and is "A Volunteer Organization that Emphasizes Agriculture and Education to Develop the Youth of Texas."
