Attention 2008 Calf Scramble Winners:

• Please remember to send a thank you letter to your sponsor and mail a copy to Yvonne "Bonnie" Ramirez, Assistant Livestock Director. You can mail it to 200230 San Antonio, TX 78220. Purchase Certificates will not be issued until a copy of the thank you note has been received in the Livestock Office.

• Once a copy of the thank you letter to the sponsor has been received, purchase certificates will be issued. They will be mailed out starting Monday, March 31.

2007 Winners

November 1, 2007: All beef and dairy heifers, sheep, and goats MUST be purchased, in your possession, and registration papers transferred into your name.

December 1, 2007: Livestock Entries DUE! You must enter your Calf Scramble Project through your FFA or 4-H. Check with your supervisor for earlier local deadlines. You are NOT automatically entered in the 2006 Stock Show.

December 1, 2007: All gilts must be purchased, in your possession, and registration papers transferred into your name.

December 15, 2007: All Purchase Certificates due to SALE.

January 31 - February 17, 2008: San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo! Let's Rodeo San Antonio!

February 6, 2008: Calf Scramble Reception. 3:30 p.m. School Tours Tent. Record Books may be picked up at this time. Anyone not attending the reception can pick up their record book at the Livestock Office.

March 31, 2008: If all calf scramble program requirements have been met (Ex: Record Book Submission, Entering the show, and Showing the Calf Scramble project) Original Registrations papers will be mailed back starting on this date.

The 2008 Calf Scramble Reception honoring and recognizing the 2007 Calf Scramble Winners is set for Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008 at 3:30 p.m.,
under the School Tours Tent.
