A "Truly Texas Family Experience” is sponsored by HEB in cooperation with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service. Exhibits in this 30,000-square-foot facility offer visitors a chance to see where the food and fiber necessary to daily living originate. Exhibits will show agricultural production from the farms and ranches to the table, including crops and livestock. Visitors can sample Texas dairy products, see live beehives, take a picture at a chicken coop or try their hand at cow-milking! Exhibits and displays for this pavilion include a live mini-orchard, kitchen demonstration area with guest chefs, Bexar County Master Gardener's booth, rainwater harvesting display with drip irrigation, “edible landscape” display, live farm animals, urban gardening displays and a greenhouse.

Bexar County Master Gardener/horticulture-related exhibits and activities include:

• Mini-orchard with peach, plum and pear trees using drip irrigation.
• Sales of new rodeo tomato and new red bluebonnet
• Gardening advice from experts
• Raised-bed vegetable garden
• Vertical gardening
• Tomato planting and growing
• Greenhouse growing

Children’s displays and activities:

• Hands-on pot-planting
• Pollinator Pins
• Cow-milking simulator
• Treats from HEB for kids visiting farm-related exhibits
• “Kids in the Kitchen” presentation on food preparation
• “Water Wise in the Kitchen” educational presentation on home water use
• “Bugs in the Pantry” presentation on household insects

• Presentations on how to build an inexpensive home rainwater system
